In January we wrote to over 100 schools in Ealing asking if they would consider holding a Non-School Uniform Day on behalf of Ealing Mencap and to raise awareness of the challenges faced by people with learning disabilities. Knowing the pressures facing schools we didn't know if anyone would have the time or the energy to take on this extra activity, and so we were delighted to hear that Springhallow School, Blair Peach Primary and Ayesha Siddiqua Girls School have all held an event !

We are grateful that these young people have taken social action to help make Ealing a great place for people with learning disabilities to live and achieve their personal goals.

Together they have raised over £500 to support our work which is fantastic and will help us to change lives.

Thank you to everyone who took part and we hope you had a great day!

PS - If you want to hold an awareness and fundraising event during Learning Disability Week, 18th to 24th June 2018, then please do get in touch so we can assist you and promote your activity.
