An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ealing Mencap for highly motivated 1:1 Support Workers. Responsibilities will include providing care and support to children/young people who have complex needs and disabilities to providing a caring, secure environment, through individual attention and group activities, and to organise an appropriate range of leisure activities.

The support runs all year round and is based in the community and in their homes. It consists of supporting young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities aged 14 to 25 years old.

You will be required to support the young adults with engaging in their community, pursing their interests and building positive skills. Activities may include cinema, bowling, work experience, swimming, accessing mainstream sessions and museums.  Where possible if support sessions are running over the same times, the sessions can join up to support the building of relationships with other young people.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your professional skills and experience, whilst working directly with young people with disabilities and making a difference to their lives.
