Responsible to: Travel Training Project Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our successful Travel Training Project teaching young people with disabilities to travel independently to and from school and college using public transport.

We are looking for enthusiastic and confident individuals with strong communication skills, who have the ability to work effectively on their own and as part of a team. As a full time member of staff you will work closely with schools, parents and other professionals to promote the project and ensure placements run smoothly.

You will be required to devise and deliver person-centred travel training to students with disabilities, supporting them to become safe and independent travellers on their routes to school or college. You will share responsibility for developing and expanding the work of the project by improving our working practices, creating accessible training materials and delivering workshops in schools.

Applicants with experience of working with students with learning and/or physical disabilities, particularly in a teaching or training capacity, would be most welcome.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your professional skills and experience, whilst working directly with young people with disabilities and making a lasting difference to their lives.
