We are a leading local charity dedicated to supporting children and adults with learning disabilities in the Borough. With a turn-over of £2,000,000 and around 50 staff the organisation directly assists more than 2000 people each year. We have to raise our all own funds and the more money we can raise, the more people we can help.

We believe that people with a learning disability should have opportunities and support to grow and develop so that they can achieve their personal goals. We know that people with learning disabilities continue to face discrimination and disadvantage and we actively work with people to overcome these challenges.

During Learning Disability Week in June 2018, we were delighted to announce Acer UK as a corporate partner.

Acer UK have been running charity fundraising projects for over 5 years but this is the first year they have nominated an Annual Charity Partner of the Year. The partnership means that Acer will be organising various activities to fundraise for the charity, and also to help promote the Charity’s work amongst their Customers and the wider community.

Among the several fundraising projects planned for this year, Acer will be providing a group of Mencap trainees with ongoing work experience training and support, with the aim of helping them develop new skills and get into work.

Our social responsibility commitments are extremely important to us at Acer and the partnership with Ealing Mencap is the perfect fit for us, as we aspire to make a difference in people’s lives through technology, whilst also providing our employees with a chance to give something back to the community”
